About Sue Bradley.
Sue is a qualified teacher and teaches watercolours to adults on a weekly basis. She has had paintings selected for major exhibitions including the Artist and Leisure Painter magazine annual Open Exhibition at Patchings Art Centre, Nottingham and the Royal Society of Marine Artists Exhibition at the prestigious Mall Galleries, London. She is also a professional associate with the Society for All Artists (SAA).
She has certainly painted in most mediums, including Acrylics and on-glaze bone china and porcelain. Sue’s favourite medium these days is probably watercolour, “I love its freshness and vibrancy” she says.
Sue Bradley’s most favorite subjects are landscapes, flowers and animals.
The superb and noteworthy studio facilities coupled with the landscaped gardens and magnificent scenery around “Las Orquideas” act as an inspiration to all of her classes.
Easy and fun.
Sue’s approach to tutoring is for everyone to relax, enjoy, progress individually at your own pace and above all have fun.
To suit you.
This most noteworthy watercolour painting workshop is suitable for beginners as well as the more experienced wishing to improve in a relaxed environment.
Sue’s week will be full of encouragement and experimentation. Leading by example with demonstrations and tips and techniques whether you are a beginner or a more experienced artist you are sure to learn a lot this week.
In this course, whatever your level, you will have personalized teaching and your paintings and techniques will evolve significantly.
Our programme is loosely based on having alternate days of painting within the studio and gardens of Las Orquideas and Plein aire, visiting some of the region’s best painting locations will add to the inspiration. Sue will share her love of watercolour with you showing you how to use the transparent colour to bring vibrancy and freshness to your work and also how to add texture and pattern. Sue will take you through sessions including landscape, capturing flowers and the less traditional use of watercolour.
